EB-5 is a US investment immigration programme: invest from USD 800,000 in a job-creating project to receive a green card for the whole family, regardless of skills score, age, or English proficiency.
Under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act 2022, the investment amount is 800,000 USD if the project is in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or 1,050,000 USD outside a TEA; each investment must create at least 10 full-time jobs for US workers.
EB-5 conditions
Theo USCIS, investors may invest directly (Direct) in a self-operated business, or through a designated Regional Center. The key factor is proving lawful source of funds (source of funds) and the project generating a full 10 jobs.

Set-aside visas — faster processing
RIA 2022 sets aside a portion of EB-5 visas each year for 3 project categories: nông thôn (rural) 20%, high-unemployment area 10%, và infrastructure 2%. These set-aside categories currently have no backlog, so Vietnamese investors may be processed faster than under the standard EB-5 category.
An investor legally present in the US can also file Form I-526E and I-485 concurrently to obtain a temporary green card and work permit while waiting.
